Team Red Dog Brought Strategic Value and Better Insights by Standardizing Monthly Financial Reports
The client, a Global Sales and Finance Organization and a large technology company, used several software applications and internal tools to track the status of sales activities. Each tool produced a different set of reports and required data to be tracked and compiled in different ways.
Managing the various inputs, tools, and outputs was time-consuming and made having one view of all sales activities a challenge. It became critical for leadership to not only be able to keep close tabs on pending and closed sales status but also to have one view across the entire business.
A Team Red Dog financial analyst assigned to the project worked with all internal sales tools to compile common monthly revenue reports, aid in forecasting sales, and instruct appropriate quota setting. The financial analyst assisted the client’s finance manager with reviewing the current and upcoming pipeline, determining monthly sales opportunities, tracking the progress of each opportunity, and ensuring reporting accuracy.
Additionally, working closely with the client’s financial controller, Team Red Dog created standardized reports to be used across all of the company’s sales regions thus providing executive leadership with one consistent view on sales performance.
